Battenwear Light Shell Parka in Sailor Blue. Constructed from one of Battenwear’s favourite fabrics, a lightweight weather resistant polyester and cotton blend, this parka has been designed with the warmer months in mind but still retains the original appeal of a classic outerwear style. The raglan sleeve shape allows for a greater range of movement and the attached hood has been constructed in panels for coverage from the elements with a leather cinch cord adjuster around its outer edge which allows you to resize the fit to suit. A full length two-way zip fastens the front, concealed by a matching fabric placket with branded snap button closures and on either side of the chest expandable patch pockets with velcro secured flap fastenings are available for storing essentials. Additionally, two larger compartments can be found on either side of the waist, velcro cuff fasteners on the sleeve and a leather pull cord around the body hem complete the design.

Founded in 2011 by designer and vintage enthusiast Shinya Hasegawa, Battenwear designs are created between Japan and the USA where the roughness of traditional American outerwear is combined with the precision of Japanese textiles and sewing. For SS21 inspiration taken from daydreams of tropical landscapes and time spent outdoors with new friends has been merged with the brand’s admiration for late 1960’s and early 1980’s surf and outdoor wear to create a new collection of high quality, considered pieces that live up to the demands of outdoor activities.
